Proven is an Australian owned company established in 1962 in Sydney, Australia which specialises in providing shock absorbers and springs to wholesale, retail, and trade customers worldwide. Ikon came into being in 2001. Ikon is pleased to have introduced many new things over the last 10 years from where we started. Today we are introducing a significant and exciting new product range to be known as the 36 and 3610 series. Read on and have a look at the pictures to learn more.

Welcome to Ikon Suspension’s 36 and 3610 series shock absorber.

The 3610 series shocks are a 4 position rebound adjustable 36mm piston monotube design primarily for single shock motorcycles.

Being monotube means the 3610 is gas pressurised. A floating piston is used to keep oil & gas separate.

 The valving shim stacks of the 3610 will generate the high damping pressures that are typical of single shock suspensions and have been set up with each specific motorcycle in mind.

Spring pre-load adjustment is done by way of a screw thread on the body with a stainless steel spanner being provided. The springs are progressive rate and made from high quality materials in Europe just like other Ikon springs. 3610’s are also rebuildable. 

The 36 series is simply a non adjustable shock based on the 3610. Its main application is seen as being Harley Softail where original springs, end mounts and covers are re-used. This approach means it is possible with only 2 shock part numbers to cover models from 1984 to 2010. Being monotube makes them well suited to the horizontal fitting and reverse linkage of the softail.
